We’re looking for an experienced AWS Architect / DevOps Engineer with strong engineering depth and proven consulting skills to work directly with public cloud customers.

Location: Auckland / Wellington OR Christchurch

This role suits someone comfortable designing and building cloud-native solutions, getting hands-on with code and infrastructure, and working confidently with customers. You’ll lead technical discussions, shape solutions, and help clients move from ideas to well-run production systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure AWS architectures.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop and modify software running on AWS and Linux, primarily using Python.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and performance.
• Work directly with customers to run discovery sessions, understand requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
• Support and maintain production systems, including workloads using AI inference.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience across DevOps and software engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills, with the ability to design and build, not just advise.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with external customers.
• Strong coding ability in at least one language such as Python, Go, Rust, or JavaScript.
• Solid production experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar.
• Strong Linux and Docker knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Good understanding of security and compliance considerations in cloud environments.

Nice to Have:
•    Computer Science degree.
•    Computer Vision experience.
•    Production experience with serverless workloads.
•    AWS certs demonstrating a desire to learn.
•    Background in building internal Dev tooling and developer platforms.
