We're seeking a Customer Engineer to join our leading Telecommunications client in Auckland in a permanent role.
The Customer Engineer is responsible for the technical relationship with their allocated portfolio of customers. The role works alongside sales, engineering, service delivery and other field teams to provide pre and post sales customer delivery and technical support. The role requires travel within New Zealand.
Responsibilities include:
Pre-sales involvement; supporting the account managers and technical solutions leads in the generation of solution design and specifications for sales opportunities
Perform and document results of site surveys and fleet auditsÂ
Produce specifications for installation, configuration, and programming of customer premises equipment (CPE)
Solution delivery; responsible for the implementation of mobile radio solutions, including – preparation of radios for sale and radio programming, deployment and installation of customer premises equipment, overseeing the technical aspects of contractor work, coordinate and/or perform radio installations into vehicles
Execute functional acceptance test plans and training of customers
Post sales support; work with the NOC to manage the ongoing customer support requirements, including fault finding and diagnostics for CPE.
Responsible for the function and ongoing operation of all radio assets in customer environments through the full life cycle of the product
