Contract! 6 month hourly rate

We’re seeking an experienced Data Architect to design secure, privacy-preserving data exchange frameworks across complex, multi-agency environments.
This role focuses on enabling consent-based data sharing using digital credentials, API connectivity and modern integration patterns. You’ll design interoperable, decentralised data solutions.


Key Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models across multiple environments
• Establish secure data connectivity frameworks between organisations
• Architect API-led and multi-context protocol (MCP) integrations
• Embed privacy principles including consent, purpose limitation and data minimisation into architecture
• Support digital credential issuance and identity-enabled service models

Required Experience

• Proven Data Architect experience in complex, multi-agency environments
• Strong end-to-end data modelling capability
• Experience building cross-organisation data connectivity frameworks
• Experience with digital identity, credential services or equivalent trust frameworks
• Strong API architecture and MCP design experience
• Solid understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and its practical implications for data design
