Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high-impact programme focused on shaping the future of large-scale data architecture and information design. This is a 6-month contract where you’ll play a key role in defining and delivering a modern, secure, and scalable data environment.
You’ll be responsible for designing and mapping data ecosystems that enable seamless, real-time data exchange, with a strong focus on privacy, security, and interoperability. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and delivery, requiring someone who can engage across technical and business domains while guiding stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the design of a future-state data architecture within a distributed environment
- Define standards, models, and integration patterns for secure data exchange (APIs, structured data, emerging protocols)
- Map complex data flows and simplify them into scalable, reusable patterns
- Embed privacy-by-design and consent-based access principles into architecture decisions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, partners, and vendors to align on direction and delivery
- Proven experience as a Data Architect in complex environments
- Strong data modelling capability across conceptual, logical and physical layers
- Deep experience in API-led and integration-focused architectures
- Ability to translate security, privacy, and trust requirements into practical design
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
