Governance & Assurance Lead

Governance & Assurance Lead to support a major programme working closely with the Programme Lead to provide independent governance oversight across the programme.


This is a hands-on role focused on governance reporting, assurance, financial oversight and ensuring alignment to approved standards, plans and controls.


What you’ll be doing
  • Provide governance oversight and assurance across the full programme lifecycle
  • Establish and embed governance standards, programme build plans, and financial plans
  • Lead governance reporting, ensuring clear visibility of scope, risk, cost and schedule
  • Monitor alignment to approved controls, frameworks, and delivery plans
  • Oversee cost management and financial performance reporting
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and programme maturity
  What we’re looking for
  • Strong background in PMO programme governance and assurance
  • Previous telco and/or infrastructure experience highly desirable
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and cost management
  • Solid understanding of programme controls and key business drivers
  • Proficient in MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Power BI
  • Strong relationship skills, able to build constructive working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Self-starter with resilience and a growth mindset
