In this role you will providing technical support, responding to situations when first and second line support has failed.Â
Day to day you will :
- Provide 3rd level support and management for enterprise storage environment.
- Be the subject matter expert responsible for the operation of all things storage related.
- Identify and improve the customer storage environment. This includes activities such as proactive monitoring, upgrades, and automation.
- Advise and assist the customer with queries, and complex projects that require storage technologies.
- Use your technical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues within agreed SLA timeframes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Perform well under pressure and changing project and BAU timeframes and priorities.
- Day to day operation and monitoring of backups to ensure that restores meet the agreed RPO and RTO.
- Work in an Agile environment that is continually improving to deliver customer focused outcomes.
What you will have:
- Have experience in the management and monitoring of large and complex SAN environments.
- Experience with a wide variety of storage protocols and fabric infrastructure.
- Expertise in administering Netapp 7-Mode and cdot, HP, Pure, Cisco as well as other IBM storage hardware and software.
- Familiar with the storage and multipath configuration requirements on Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris and VMware.
- Ensure that all backed up data can be restored to meets the customers RPO and RTO SLA’s.
- Experience with storage protocols such as FCOE, iSCSI, FC as well as the management of Cisco fabric switches in relation to zoning and vsans etc
- Familiar with monitoring products such as Nagios, Splunk and SCOM would be advantageous.
- Understanding and knowledge of VMware vSphere management would be advantageous.
