We have a great opportunity for a Snr / Lead Data Engineer to work with our client here in Wellington, dealing with the best tech like Snowflake, DBT, Python, Google Cloud, as they modernise their data platform.

You will be the go to Data Lead on the cloud data warehouse migration, on prem to Google Cloud (some AWS) with Snowflake, also enabling data scientists to extract data independently. You will contribute to and execute the road map, be involved with stakeholder engagement, coaching / mentor others, no people or performance management.

If you have dealt with a Cloud migration, that would be great. Someone with an operational understanding of modern data platforms and tech: SQL, distributed computing, streaming data, data warehousing and modelling concepts. Experience working with Cloud technologies: CI/CD, Containerization and DevOps practices.

We have both this Lead Data Engineer role and a Snr Data Engineer role, both Wellington based.
