What we are looking for:
We are looking for an outstanding resource to act as a L1.5 Support Engineer. Ideally you will have worked for a managed service provider in the past and know what it takes to provide quality service to your clients. You will be looking after Daraco’s clients in NZ and abroad so variety will be your spice of life!
You will be down to earth, have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal along with a broad technical nous across;

➢ Cloud
➢ Security
➢ Infrastructure and Datacentre
➢ Voice and Data
➢ Networking and WiFi
 
Ideally you will have expert knowledge of Microsoft Desktop applications and Microsoft Server experience. Along with this it would be great if you have O365, Intune, SharePoint and Teams exposure and knowledge of Citrix.

Day to Day Responsibilities
Here is an idea of what you’ll be doing each day;

• Help the team with ensuring security of network and uptime of servers and systems
• Management of assigned IT service desk tickets, prioritising, sharing tickets to other IT employees when necessary
• Access impact of technical changes and manage implementation
• Setup and deploy laptops, desktops, printers, smartphones etc.
• Support end user operating systems/applications
• Incident management – diagnosis and troubleshooting of service desk tickets
• Ensure all incidents and requests for work are logged into the Service Desk system
• Diagnose and rectify hardware, operating system and file system faults
• Troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for modification to rectify faults

 
 
You will work remotely and paid overtime and on call allowances as and when. If a customer needs on-site support then you will need to travel to them.
