Network Security Consultant – Permanent | North Shore, Auckland


About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Network Security Consultant to join a highly respected technology team on Auckland’s North Shore.
You’ll play a key role in delivering network and security projects, providing expert advice, and supporting managed services for a wide range of enterprise clients.
This position suits someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, client-facing role managing technical deliverables, resolving complex issues, and helping to shape secure, modern network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Security Design and implementation
• Act as a Tier-2 escalation point for managed services and problem resolution
• Support customers and internal teams with network and security expertise
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting across all engagements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
• Contribute to continuous improvement and service offering development
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in network and/or security consulting or support
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, HP Networking, Checkpoint, Fortigate and VMware
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise, self-manage, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or vendor certifications (advantageous)
• A valid NZ Driver’s Licence
