You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, observability, security and performance of existing and new middleware systems including:
- Middleware administration including software patching and configuration changes
- Traditional application deployments and support of deployment pipelines
- Monitoring, incident triages, and problem analysis
- Provide technical expertise to other teams
- Assist in analysing, developing, and maintaining high quality middleware systems that support user requirements, are cost effective to run, and meet service and security expectations.
- Unix and Linux systems
- WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP server, BPM, or any other middleware product
- Messaging systems such as MQ and Message Broker/IIB
- Appliances such as MQ and DataPower
- Modern CI/CD practices, automation and monitoring tools such as Jenkins ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace, Terraform and Chef
- Scripting languages such as Bash for automation
