Senior Application Support Engineer

Job description

Senior Application Support Engineer to join a global team supporting a real-time electronic trading and messaging platform.


This is a Level 2 support role working across a high-availability, real-time environment.


The platform operates much like an enterprise middleware solution, enabling secure messaging, workflow processing and integration across financial systems.


What you’ll be doing
  • Providing 2nd level support across a real-time trading and messaging platform
  • Investigating incidents through log file analysis and root cause identification
  • Promoting code and configuration updates via Git
  • Developing and maintaining YAML configuration files
  • Applying business rules using JavaScript
  • Supporting middleware and workflow platforms for messaging and process automation
  • Working within ITIL-aligned service management practices
  • Troubleshooting network-related issues, including tracing routes and diagnosing connectivity problems

What we’re looking for
  • Strong Java skills in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Git and configuration management
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Confident working with logs and performing detailed technical investigations
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Comfortable working in a global, culturally diverse environment
