We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our client's dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the quality of their front-end applications through thoughtful test design, automation, and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Strategic Test Design: Take initiative in thinking critically and laterally about test strategies to mitigate project risks and uncover vulnerabilities beyond business requirements.
• Automation & Collaboration: Work closely with BAs and developers to create automated checks using existing tools and frameworks.
• Agile Team Engagement: Collaborate with your agile team to build a shared understanding of business requirements and underlying systems.
• Defect Communication: Clearly communicate defects and issues to both the business and your agile team.
• User Experience Focus: Contribute to a shared goal of delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions, and demos. Support your team with non-testing tasks to help meet delivery goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply modern testing principles and stay up to date with new technologies and agile practices. Share insights and innovations with your team and the wider Digital & Applications group.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain timely and effective communication with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.

What You’ll Bring Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern QA and test automation within Agile environments.
• Proven ability to provide QA expertise and promote best practices across teams.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Proficiency in web application testing tools such as React Testing Library, Jest, and Playwright.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and agile delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern cloud environments.
• A mindset focused on growth and continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with API test automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman).
• Exposure to production monitoring, incident triage, and investigation.
• Background in banking or financial services.
