Senior Automation Tester – Contract 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to drive high-quality delivery across API-led platforms. This role requires strong automation capability, solid coding skills and hands-on testing experience across complex systems.
 
Location: Auckland
Duration: 12 months
Start: January 2026
 

Key requirements:

• Strong understanding of the API lifecycle, with hands-on manual and automated API testing
  
  
• 5+ years’ experience designing, building, and maintaining advanced automation frameworks
  
  
• Proficiency in Java (preferred), JavaScript, or TypeScript using OOP principles
  
  
• Hands-on experience creating automation tests using Rest-Assured and Cypress
  
  
• Experience with stubbing and mocking
  
  
• Advanced ability to read and debug code (white-box testing)
  
  
• Extensive experience in functional and exploratory testing
  
  Nice to have:
  
  
• Experience with Playwright
  
  
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar tools
