Great 12 month contract opportunity with a well know Fintech company with a modern environment and cutting edge techstack. With a focus on Snowflake and Big Data technologies, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our data-driven applications. Responsibilities: 

• Lead system and application design, including the production of system and program documentation, as well as ongoing maintenance.
• Perform unit testing activities to ensure software solutions meet agreed specifications and quality standards.
• Create development and support documentation, and provide expert advice on applications to facilitate effective support functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
• Manipulate and wrangle structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data from various sources.
• Contribute to data integration, data ingestion, data movement, data synchronization, and data lineage activities.
• Utilize cloud-based environments, particularly Snowflake, Airflow, Jenkins, and AWS S3 bucket.
• Apply programming expertise in Java script and Python to support data engineering tasks.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of experience in database design, development of data schemas, and data curation.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based environments, specifically Snowflake, Airflow, Jenkins, and AWS S3 bucket.
• Extensive experience with data integration, data ingestion, data movement, data synchronization, and data lineage.
• Proficiency in a range of programming languages, including JavaScript and Python.
• Demonstrated contribution to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Experience in data wrangling and manipulation from various structured, unstructured, and semi-structured sources.
• Previous experience working in big data environments.
