6 Month Fixed Term Contract initially 

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong skills in managing switches, firewalls, routers, and network encryption tools. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Aruba, Cisco, Checkpoint, and Juniper network tools management, along with a proficiency in cloud networking. The primary focus of this role involves replacing end-of-life equipment, implementing wireless improvements, and managing the relocation of an agency to a new office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage switches, firewalls, routers, and network encryption tools.
• Oversee Aruba, Cisco, Checkpoint, and Juniper network tools management.
• Integrate elements of cloud networking into the network infrastructure.
• Lead initiatives to replace end-of-life equipment and implement wireless improvements.
• Contribute to the seamless relocation of the agency to its new office.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in network management, design, and administration.
• Expertise in routing protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, or a Linux shell, with a focus on network coding or automation.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Aruba, Cisco, Checkpoint, and Juniper network tools.
• Cloud networking experience, incorporating best practices into the existing infrastructure.
• Previous involvement in projects focusing on end-of-life equipment replacement and wireless improvements.
