Our client is looking for a SQL Senior Database Administrator to join their team. 

We are looking for someone who will be able to lead and mentor others. You will be taking ownership for project work and lead the charge. You will need to bring specialist database administrator skills and tools of SQL-based and next-generation database systems.

This role will be responsible for establishing database roadmap's and drive continuous improvements as well as to support daily operations in the hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments to meet the performance, security & cost expectations of our clients business and customers.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will:

• Establish and maintain the database system roadmap.
• Lead and drive the transformation and migration of database systems from on-premise to cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.).
• Drive modernisation and optimisation of database systems.
• Operate and lead the database systems in both cloud and on-premise environments to minimise unplanned system outages and provide effective 24/7 support.
• Monitor availability, performance, and healthiness of database systems.
• Manage security, access permissions, and privileges.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Database Administrator or similar role.
• Expertise in SQL-based and next-generation database systems.
• Experience with hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to automate manual operational tasks for improved productivity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
