We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Technical Specialist to join a large-scale migration programme for a major platform uplift. 

What you’ll do | Ngā mahi

• Support delivery teams through the migration of applications to a new platform
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies and daily standups
• Assist in platform design decisions and technical direction
• Automate manual processes to drive efficiency
• Work closely with delivery leads on planning and timelines
• Build trusted relationships across diverse teams with varying levels of technical expertise

What you’ll bring | Tō rourou Essential:

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ on Linux, including previous migration experience
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to empathise with and support teams under pressure
• A flexible, pragmatic mindset and problem-solving attitude

Desirable:

• Exposure to Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD or DevOps practices
• Experience in large, complex environments (banking or financial services a bonus)
• Proven experience working within Agile frameworks
• 5+ years in technical roles with platform or middleware expertise
