12 Month hourly rate contract - onsite in Wellington CBD

Position Overview:
As a Service Desk Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems. You will be responsible for providing level one support, user administration, and maintaining various IT assets. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide level one support as required, including password resets, adding users to Active Directory, maintaining email distribution lists, and similar support tasks.
  • Perform all aspects of user administration, including setting up new users, making changes to existing users, disabling user accounts when users leave, and conducting user induction sessions.
  • Offer PC support for desktops and laptops, including issue resolution and software installation/removal. Perform Moves, Adds, Changes (MACs) as necessary.
  • Provide support for Office phones (desk and smartphones), resolving issues, and handling software installation/removal. Administer user accounts and perform MACs as required.
  • Support Office video conference equipment and meetings, as needed. Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory user management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and software.
  • Familiarity with desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
