Job description
Our client is looking for a technically strong Solar Solutions Design & Delivery Lead to own commercial solar solutions from feasibility through commissioning. The role blends hands?on design with practical oversight of delivery and subcontractor guidance. You’ll assess project viability, create optimised, compliant designs, support installers during key build stages and help ensure every system is safe, high?quality and on?spec.
What we're looking for
• 3-7+ years in commercial solar design, engineering, or technical delivery (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency with PV design tools (OpenSolar, PVsyst, Helioscope, SolarEdge Designer or similar).
• Ability to produce accurate layouts, SLDs, cable schedules and BOMs.
• Working knowledge of NZ standards, grid?connection processes and DNSP requirements.
• Experience with modelling, shading analysis and basic ROI/payback calculations.
• Comfortable attending site and working alongside installers during key phases.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must be willing and able to travel, with accommodation provided as required for business needs.
Kia ora, Comspek and our clients fully support and encourage diverse hiring and inclusive recruitment processes. Don’t meet every single requirement of this job description? That’s ok - You do not need to tick every box or have expertise in the full JD. Comspek is dedicated to building diverse, inclusive and authentic workplaces based on different clients’ needs. So, if you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.
