Job description
Toyota New Zealand is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern, customer-facing technology solutions, with Customer Experience Transformation (CXT) as a top strategic priority.
This role sits within our Business Technology team and will be instrumental in shaping integrated digital experiences across web, CRM, marketing platforms, and core enterprise systems. While experience in customer web, portal, and commerce ecosystems is essential, we are equally looking for someone who understands the broader enterprise landscape integration architecture, data flows, platform strategy, and how digital channels connect into ERP and operational systems.

The Opportunity
You’ll work across marketing, customer experience, retail, and technology teams to:
- Design end-to-end solutions spanning web platforms, CRM (Salesforce preferred), APIs, integration layers, and supporting enterprise systems.
- Define integration patterns between customer portals, identity platforms, marketing automation, and back-office systems.
- Produce solution artefacts including architecture diagrams, interface specifications, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
- Support secure-by-design principles across identity, consent, and customer data handling.
- Act as a technical lead within projects, ensuring solutions are aligned to architectural standards and long-term platform strategy.
- Partner with vendors and delivery teams through design, build, and implementation phases.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead within enterprise environments.
- Exposure to customer-facing systems such as websites, portals, CRM platforms, or digital experience technologies.
- Strong integration experience across APIs, middleware, service-oriented or event-driven architectures.
- Practical understanding of modern web technologies and how they integrate into broader enterprise landscapes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, supportable technical designs.
- Experience working within structured architecture or governance frameworks.
