Toyota New Zealand is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to help shape the design and delivery of modern, scalable technology solutions that support business transformation and long-term platform evolution. This role sits within the Business Technology team and plays a key part in aligning business objectives with well-structured, integrated technology architectures across the organisation.

This role will span customer, commercial, operational, and corporate domains, ensuring solutions are cohesive across digital channels, enterprise platforms, data, and integration layers.

The Opportunity
You will work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to:

• Design end-to-end solution architectures that span digital platforms, integration layers, data services, and core enterprise systems.
• Define how systems interact across the enterprise, including APIs, middleware, identity services, and event or service-based integration patterns.
• Develop and maintain solution artefacts such as architecture diagrams, interface definitions, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure security, privacy, and resilience principles are embedded into solution designs.
• Provide technical leadership within delivery initiatives, guiding teams to align with architectural standards and future-state strategies.
• Engage with vendors and delivery partners across design, build, and implementation phases.
• Contribute to architectural governance, platform roadmaps, and technology decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead within complex enterprise environments.
• Broad exposure across digital, data, and enterprise platforms, rather than deep focus on a single technology or product.
• Strong integration experience, including APIs, middleware, and distributed or event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of how front-end, cloud, and digital solutions connect into back-office and operational systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable, supportable, and pragmatic solution designs.
• Experience working within structured architecture, governance, or delivery frameworks.
