Job description
We are seeking a Team Lead to join our client, focusing on developing and maintaining reporting solutions and document generation applications. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, efficient, and reliable reports that are critical to our clients business operations. This role blends deep technical expertise in reporting technologies with leadership, architectural vision, and project coordination responsibilities.
You will initially be hands-on, embedding yourself within current reporting workflows and systems to gain a comprehensive understanding of existing operations. Over time, the focus will shift toward leading a team, setting technical direction, and laying the foundation for a modern, scalable reporting architecture.
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and iNetClear, integrating with .NET applications and SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Reporting Engineers through guidance, coaching, code reviews, and skills development.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and iNetClear.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and analyse report requirements.
- Contribute to the transition and implementation of a new reporting system.
- Optimise SQL queries and ensure database performance.
- Maintain and develop .NET applications supporting reporting functionality.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all generated reports.
- Provide technical support and training for report generation tools to end-users.
- Maintain thorough documentation of processes, procedures, and code changes.
- Proficiency in SQL and .NET development is essential.
- Hands-on experience with SSRS, Crystal Reports.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams, even informally.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with debugging and performance tuning of reports and related systems.
