1 Year Fixed Term Contract - Non Vendor!

We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in managing, optimising, and expanding our client's infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with a talented team of professionals and be responsible for supporting and enhancing our infrastructure while adhering to DevOps principles and practices.
Your expertise will be crucial in leveraging Azure, M365, and scripting to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the Tech lead for a team of infrastructure engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of the infrastructure.
• Develop and implement best practices for infrastructure support, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Utilise your deep knowledge of DevOps principles and practices to enhance deployment pipelines and automation.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions on Azure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 services to enhance productivity and security.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with hands-on experience in implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services, including administration and optimization.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of network and security principles to maintain a secure infrastructure environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
