As a Transport Network Engineer your job is to design, build and operationally support solutions that meet or exceed our internal and external customer requirements. Your role is to ensure the Transport Network provides the required capacity, availability and performance at all times, acting as part of a team of Engineers either focused on the service provider core or on the delivery of services to customers which will include the requirement for some night work, whilst also taking part in an on-call roster.
About you:Â
•   Current CCNA and JNCIA minimum certification, CCNP or JNCIP.
•   Experience on the Juniper MX router series.
•   Security, voice, design experience and specialist certifications.Â
•   Experience with a variety of vendor networking equipment.Â
•   Knowledge of service provider routing and switching protocols including ISIS, MPLS, L3 VPNs, L2 VPNs, and BGP.
•   Knowledge of enterprise routing and switching protocols including OSPF, RIP, ARP, Spanning Tree, DHCP (v4 and v6).
•   Knowledge of Internet protocols including TCP/IP (v4 and v6), NAT, and DNS.
•   Knowledge of DMR Link design.
•   Experience with network planning tools e.g. Pathloss, Atoll.
