Our financial services client is looking for a Data Scientist who will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced analytics, statistical, modelling and machine learning solutions to support a variety of business challenges. You will work closely with the business to define, shape and implement proposition (product, pricing), distribution, digital, marketing operational and risk management strategies.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Supporting strategy, planning and ideation processes with stakeholders
• Supporting briefing and reverse briefing
• Undertaking data discovery and quality profiling
• Collating data from data warehouses, marts, disparate internal and external sources and preparation
• Model selection, recommendation, building, testing, training and execution
• Delivery of insights through written reports, visualisations, stakeholder engagement and presentations
• Model deployment
• Supporting analysts with peer-coaching and mentoring
About you:Â
• 3+ years as a Data Scientist i.e. on the tools, building, deploying and managing models
• Experience across data science, data engineering, statistical and financial modelling, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, visualization and model governance.
• Advanced technical skills with T-SQL, R, Python and Tableau.
• Commercial acumen, business process understanding and financial services experience.
• Ability to consult with and influence senior business and technical stakeholders to optimize data solutions between both business and technical objectives.
• Inquisitive, problem solver and analytical commercial thinker.
• Ability to deliver business outcomes and deal with ambiguity. Be able to anticipate, plan for and overcome roadblocks; define and agree strategies for technical, project delivery, story telling, and change management.
