Our client is undertaking significant improvements to their technology platforms, including replacing, and consolidating their integration services.

We are looking for an experienced integration architect to help guide their programs of work at a solution architecture level. The role delivers and extends the definition of integration patterns, API, and interface design.

You will report into the principal architect for integration and work closely with project management resources to deliver the required outcomes. You will have close working relationships with solution architects across other projects which will leverage the integration platform, and the engineering teams responsible for delivery.
 

About the role:

• Defining the integration architecture for several solutions and evolving that architecture as required.
• Designing integration solutions which balance between our core principles and strategic alignment.
• Ensure the solutions you work on deliver on the architectural, technical and outcome requirements of the project.
• Work with the Principal Architects to gain sign-off of the architectural decisions, and solution designs for the projects you work on.
• Creating a sustainable architecture through documenting architecture, decisions, rationales, patterns and contributing to our model repository to further enable the broader team.
• Share technical knowledge with the wider team to contribute to a robust integration environment and long-term growth and development.
• Work with the security and privacy teams to ensure solutions are implemented that ensure compliance with company standards.
• Helping us move towards a service-oriented approach to our architecture, driving forward our move to decoupling our systems and creating services as product.

About you:
Your experience will demonstrate a solid understanding of integration concepts in enterprise environments, and you will have had at least 5 years working within large scale organisations to deliver integration standards and frameworks.

• Experience with API management practices and tools
• Strong knowledge of service fundamentals and good API design
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and integration styles
• Experience with integration platform solutions, for example: Apache Camel, Azure Integration Services, Confluent Kafka, Red Hat 3Scale, IBM, Oracle Fusion, Mulesoft
• Good knowledge of infrastructure platforms, including: Azure, AWS, Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience with both SOAP and RESTful API types
• Experience working within Agile environments
• Outstanding problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
