The role:
- Lead and motivate highly diverse teams towards higher levels of performance
- Build workforce capability and resilience to meet the changing needs of internal / external customers, new projects, and technologies
- Contribute at relevant Technology Forums and partner with various Technology teams to ensure technical, process and strategic alignment
- Assist the Head of Infrastructure and Technology Operations in ensuring optimal technology infrastructure and service solutions
- Participate in medium and long term decisions aligned to our Technology strategy and direction
- Manage the Infrastructure and Technology Operation including annual budget, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement
- Provide leadership and advice to project managers, senior leaders, and technical managers on projects and BAU solutions and work
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of our Cloud StrategyÂ
- Own and manage risks and issues and ensure they are registered in the relevant systems with a mitigation or plan to resolve
About you:Â
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role leading IT infrastructure/services, preferably within the financial services industry
- 5+ years experience in Azure (AWSÂ would be a bonus)
- Deep knowledge of a variety of technologies, and broad problem-solving experience
- Sound working knowledge of major vendor technology stacks including IBM/Kyndryl, Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies as well as Cisco-based network communications
- Experience in disaster recovery architecture, communication, and related technologies
- Experience in application and network security
- Proven leadership and people management skills as part of a large, complex organisationÂ
- ITIL Certification, or demonstrable experience within ITIL organisation
